  • Welding Monitoring

With the CAVILUX diode laser illumination technology you can see through the blinding brightness of welding, straight into the core of the process. It is a unique solution for process development and optimization; it enables more reliable quality control and documentation. The continuous online monitoring of your welding process improves yield and quality. Welding defects are revealed to you in real time.

Using CAVILUX laser illumination it is possible to see both the cold (e.g. gap and weld seam) and hot regions (e.g. keyhole and melt pool) simultaneously and with exceptionally high image quality. This enables e.g. the realizing of accurate seam tracking as well as obtaining information about the shape and size of the keyhole, melt pool and weld seam.

  • Industrial webs

  • High speed imaging

High speed imaging is a powerful tool e.g. for troubleshooting and for obtaining a better understanding of the object under study. Possible objects can be fast events for example in welding processes, ballistics, collisions, explosions, material testing and different flows.

When combined with a compatible high speed camera, CAVILUX laser illumination technology dramatically enhances the image quality and operation speed. For example, the short and high power pulses of CAVILUX® products remove motion blur and still provide sufficient light energy for illuminating the object.

  • Research and development

CAVILUX laser illumination technology is a unique tool for R&D. The possible application fields  include material processing (including ultra fast micro processing), flows (e.g. shadow sizing and  PIV), material testing, ballistics, collisions, explosions and special visualization techniques (e.g.  Schlieren imaging).
