Selection of high performance products

DALSA X64-CL Full

Compatible with a Base, Medium or Full Camera Link® camera, the X64-CL Full frame grabber is universal PCI slot compliant and supports a wide variety of multiple tap area and linescan color and monochrome cameras. For greater versatility, the X64-CL Full board can also interface with camera pixel depths and tap configurations not covered by the Camera Link standard. For example, the X64-CL Full can support 10-taps or higher with 8-bit per tap. The X64-CL Full has been engineered within DALSA's Trigger-to-Image Reliability framework to ensure highly reliable and efficient acquisition control throughout the entire image capture sequence.

Frame Buffer    32 MB - 2 GB
OS Support    Windows XP Pro, Vista, 2000, Linux RedHat 9.0, Mandrake 9.2, Fedora 4.0

DALSA X64-CL iPro

The X64-CL iPro is a highly versatile PCI frame grabber capable of acquiring images from two independent Base or one Medium Camera Linkâ„¢ cameras and performing image transfers at rates up to 528MB/s. Its low cost, combined with its ability to support multiple tap configurations from both area and linescan cameras simultaneously; in addition to its on-board FPGA based processing (including Bayer decoding and real-time shading correction) makes the X64-CL iPro an ideal solution to a wide variety cost-sensitive applications where flexibility, performance and reliability cannot be compromised. The X64-CL iPro has been engineered within DALSA's exacting Trigger-to-Image Reliability technology framework to more reliably and efficiently control and monitor the entire image acquisition sequence.

DALSA Xcelera-CL PX4 SE

Building on the field proven technology and performance of DALSA’s X64 frame grabbers the new Xcelera Series leverages the PCI Express (PCIe) platform to bring traditional image acquisition and processing technology to new levels of performance and flexibility. The PCIe host interface is a point to point host interface allowing simultaneous image acquisition and transfer without loading the system bus and involving little intervention from the host CPU.
The X64 Xcelera-CL PX4 SE is a highly versatile PCIe frame grabber capable for one Camera Linkâ„¢ Base, Medium, or Full camera and performing image transfers at rates up to 1024MB/s. Its low cost, combined with its ability to support multiple tap configurations from area and linescan monochrome/RGB cameras simultaneously; in addition to its onboard FPGA Bayer decoding and real-time shading correction makes the X64 Xcelera-CL PX4 SE an ideal solution to a wide variety of cost-sensitive applications.

Processing    Dynamic LUTS, Multi Flat Field/Line, Dead Pixel, Bayer, Multi-level RLE, RGB to L*a*b

Matrix Vision mvTITAN-CL

The mvTITAN series grabbers are notable for two remarkable components: the high performance image processor and the large local image memory.
The image processor relieves the system CPU of time-critical tasks.
The memory separates image transfer from capture and makes local operations possible on several images at once.

* intelligent frame grabber with high performance image processor
* interface for two BASE or MEDIUM CameraLink cameras
* high local memory for program and data
* mvTITAN-CL/110 with 110 MB/sec input band width

Matrix Vision mvHYPERION-CLf/Cell for Cell Blade

The mvHYPERION-CLf/Cell is a frame grabber for CameraLink cameras. Due to PCI Express® x4 the mvHYPERION-CLf/Cell offers a maximum capture bandwidth of 1 GB/s. The frame grabber allows operation of one camera with FULL or MEDIUM interface; the model mvHYPERION-CLm/Cell two cameras with BASE interface or one MEDIUM camera.

* digital PCI Express® x4 frame grabbers
* different interfaces for CameraLink cameras
* trigger and flash control for cameras on board

* Optimized for applications in high-end Machine Vision solutions using Cell  B.E. solutions

The PCIe x16 interface with a bandwidth of 4 GB/sec of the mvXCell-8i copes with the data flow of even four FULL-CameraLink - PCIe frame grabbers mvHYPERION-CLf. On the other hand, the two GigE-Ports are predestined for the direct connection of GigE Vision cameras like our mvBlueCOUGAR. Multiple mvXCell-8i can be installed in a PC to form a preprocessing front end for challenging image processing solutions. The processing power of the Cell/B.E. card substitutes 2 to 6 PCs.
Compared to a dual core x86 CPU, the Cell/B.E. optimized "CellCV" as an accelerated core of OpenCV achieved on the mvXCell a speed up of factors ranging from 7 to 32 for typical image processing algorithms.

The mvXCell-8i in connection with the mvHYPERION-32R16 is as superior as the IBM Cell Blade based DVS systems, relying on the excellent Cell/B.E. quality/bit rate optimized IBM H.264 codec. BNC camera cables are connected via CAU Breakout. A PC with one mvXCell, one CAU Breakout and two frame grabbers offers 32 video input channels and the capability of compressing about 14 live streams at full SD resolution and frame rate. With CIF resolution or at a reduced frame rate, all inputs can be captured in parallel. Due to the software compression and thus the accessibility of the raw input video stream, sophisticated video analytics can be done in parallel to the compression. The efficient H.264 code yields up to 2.5 times the compression ratio of other standards with the same level of video quality, saving disk space and bandwidth.
